Oil and gas separation element is the key component that determines the quality of compressed air in air compressor. High quality oil and gas separation element can not only ensure the high efficiency of the compressor, but also the life of the filter element can reach several dry hours. The compressed air coming out of the compressor head entrains large and small oil droplets. Large oil droplets are easily separated when passing through the oil and gas separation tank, while small oil droplets (suspended oil particles with a diameter of less than 1um) must be filtered through the micron and glass fiber filter material layers of the oil and gas separation filter element. The oil particles are directly intercepted by the filter material through the diffusion effect of the filter material and the mechanism of inertia collision condensation, so that the suspended oil particles in the compressed air quickly condense into large oil droplets. Under the action of gravity, the oil gathers at the bottom of the oil core and returns to the head lubriCAT-parts-partsing oil system through the oil return pipe inlet at the bottom cavity, so that the compressor can discharge more pure and oil-free compressed air. Solid particles in the compressed air pass through the oil core and stay in the filter layer, which results in increased pressure differential (drag) of the oil core. As the service time of the oil core increases, when the pressure difference of the oil core reaches 0.08 to 0.1Mpa, the filter element must be replaced, otherwise the operation cost (power consumption) of the compressor will be increased.
